The senior secondary years of a student involves the 11th & 12th grade of a student.
In the Senior Secondary years, the respective fields of study get divided into various streams like Science, Commerce and Arts. Students can choose any stream that they are interested in and would like to make a career out of it by studying further. Senior Secondary years of education are the two last years of secondary education.

The eligibility for Senior Secondary School is:
The students must pass the Secondary school, which is 9th or 10th grade in order to get admission
to 11th grade.
Age Limit: 16 to 18 years
Curriculum Areas at Senior Secondary Level
For the purpose of fostering competences in learners, the curriculum
encompasses seven major learning areas, which are: Languages, Humanities,
Mathematics, Sciences, Skill Subjects, General Studies and Health and Physical
Education.
These areas are broadly divided into Scholastic and Co-scholastic
areas as detailed below:
SCHEME OF STUDIES
Class XI and XII is an integrated course. Students need to take only those subjects in class XI which he/she intends to continue in class-XII. Students can offer a minimum of 5 or more subjects in class XI. They need to continue the same subjects in class XII also.
Students of Classes XI and XII need to study English as a compulsory subject. However, there is no need for children to opt for an II language according to CBSE regulation.
