TYou have most likely just finished your IGCSE or their equivalent and now you are being asked to make a decision about what you are going to continue to study in Grade 11.

In Grade 11 & 12 there are subjects you must take (compulsory) and subjects you can choose between (optional)

English Language is compulsory because not only does it cover essential knowledge and skills that everyone needs for the future, but colleges and universities around the world almost always require an English Language grade as an admission prerequisite.

The optional subjects are the ones you choose to take in Grade 11 and which will continue into Grade 12.
